All of the pictures below illustrate TTouch techniques that we use with dogs.
The photos above are examples of the groundwork we do in the TTouch Confidence Course.
One important TTouch concept that we frequently use
with dogs is the idea of using two points of contact when a dog is on a
leash.Two points of contact means
that the leash is attached to the dog in two different places. We use two points of contact to help
the dog adjust his balance so that his weight is distributed evenly over all
four feet. In the pictures above, Lance is shown in three different leash configurations, all using two points of contact.
Each of the dogs shown here is wearing a TTouch body wrap
-- an elastic bandage that we can put on dogs in a number of different
configurations.Body wraps often
give dogs a sense of security and calm, along with a new awareness of their
bodies and how they move.
