What do I offer?

I am available for short presentations as part of a larger workshop, as well as longer workshops and presentations (from one hour to a full day) on my own. The short presentations usually involve a very basic introduction to the Tellington Touch® (TTouch®) Method and demonstrations of some of the touches. Longer workshops  generally include a more in-depth discussion of TTouch, including the specialized equipment we use and the TTouch Confidence Course (dogs only). Short presentations can be with or without animals, while the longer workshops include animals.

How can TTouch help animals in rescues and shelters?

TTouch can be a very helpful tool to use with rescue animals. As all of us who have done rescue work know, rescue animals come to us with their own sets of issues. One of the strengths of TTouch is that it offers options to help calm animals down when they are stressed. For example, a body wrap can be used on a dog who has just been picked up from animal control to give him a sense of safety and security. The TTouches themselves can be used to help calm a skitterish cat. Once an animal is placed in a foster home, TTouch can be used ease the transition to the new environment. In my presentations and demon-strations to rescue groups, I include information on the various TTouches and specialized equipment we use, along with other helpful hints to make a rescued animal’s life more comfortable.
